Overview
Dusty's Trail is a small-batch seasoning company built around Dusty, a bear who mixed his first batch of Trail Dust over a sputtering campfire. We turned that story into a complete Shopify storefront: a warm, outdoorsy brand experience selling hand-mixed spice blends alongside a recipe blog and an origin story that gives a small catalog outsized personality.
The challenge
A young artisan food brand with only a handful of SKUs needed to feel like a destination, not a spreadsheet. The store had to sell the story as much as the product, keep the path to checkout short, and encourage larger baskets — all within Shopify's ecosystem and easy for the owner to run.
Our solution
We built a themed Shopify storefront with custom Liquid templates: image-led product pages for each blend, a 'Trail-tested recipes' blog that merchandises the spices in context, an 'Our Story' page, and newsletter capture to build the list. A free-shipping threshold nudges larger orders, and native cart, search, and customer accounts keep checkout and repeat purchases smooth — all manageable by the client without a developer.
